Betty D. Thomas, 94, of Sandusky, and formerly of Marblehead, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Parkvue Health Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born Jan. 21, 1914 in Danbury Township the daughter of the late Robert E. and Ida Agnes (Rouse) Dailey. Mrs. Thomas was a telephone operator in California and also for Ohio Bell in Cleveland for 20 years. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Marblehead where she was active in the Fellowship and previously taught Sunday School. She was a past-president of the Church Women United in Ottawa County and the Ottawa County Genealogical Society. Surviving are her daughter: Marjorie Anne Giolenardo of California; brother: Edwin E. Dailey of Oak Harbor; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Mabel Vining, Mildred Kaznoch, Mary Ann Sauvey; and brothers: Ivan, Fred, William, Donald, Paul and Robert Dailey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH where visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Rev. Kay Cox will officiate, and interment will be in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township. Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ, Marblehead, OH.
