Bessie M. Nagy

Bessie M. Nagy, 92, of Port Clinton, OH died Friday, October 9, 2015 at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont, OH. She was born July 15, 1923 the daughter of Oliver and Alta (MCCaron) Deal. She married Steve Nagy on November 9, 1942 and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1996. Mrs. Nagy worked at the former Erie Army Depot as a secretary during World War II. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, Women of the Moose, Riverview Nursing Home Auxiliary and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Surviving are her son: Steve (Dawn Marie) Nagy of Port Clinton; daughter: Beverly (Terry) Szydlowski of Oak Harbor; three grandchildren: Brad, Mike and Jill; five step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother: Russell Deal of Tiffin; sisters: Jane Davenport of Port Clinton, Angela Brindley of Oak Harbor and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Steve; daughter: Brenda Agee; one step-grandson: Terry Szdlowski; brothers: Oliver Deal, Beryl Deal, Stanley Deal, Paul Deal; sisters: Florence Schmidt, Patsy Nelson, Altha Schiller, Harriet Snow and Georgiana Green. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, October 15, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton with Rev. James Lehman officiating. Interment services will be conducted following the luncheon at Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
