Barbara M. Merrill

Barbara M Merrill, 94, of Marblehead, OH passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, OH. She was born April 5, 1928 in Marblehead, OH the daughter of Andrew M. and Margaret E. (Harnad) Turinsky, Sr. She married Franklin L. Merrill on April 4, 1951 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2006. Barb was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH where she was the church organist for many years and also a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Andrew M. Turinsky, Jr., Coleman Turinsky, Francis Turinsky, Alberta Turinsky, Mary Sauvey and Zita Rhea.

Visitation will be held 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd. Lakeside-Marblehead, OH. A funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Joseph Szybka at 10:00 am Monday, February 6, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St. Marblehead, OH with interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Marblehead, OH.
