Barbara J. "Barbie" Redfern

Barbara J. "Barbie" Redfern, 18 of Oak Harbor, OH died due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident Thursday, August 3, 2017 in Oak Harbor. She was born December 29, 1998 in Toledo, OH to Peter Redfern and Ann Goode. She was a 2017 graduate of Oak Harbor High School where she was the News Reporter for the Future Farmers of America (FFA). She also participated in the High School Band, where she played French horn, and Choir. She was very proud that she made the High Honor Roll at school. Barbie worked at McDonalds and was currently working at Bob Evans in Fremont, OH, where she was loved by all. She was planning on attending Columbus State College in the fall where she was studying Aviation. She loved being with her friends and her dog "Dixie". Barbie was a beautiful soul whose passion for life was as large as her drive to succeed in everything she did. Along with her family, Barbie had many, many friends who loved to be around her. Everyone who knew her was affected by her enthusiasm, love, and smile. Her laugh was infectious! Survivors include her mother Ann Goode of Oak Harbor; father Peter Redfern of Sandusky, OH; brother Zachary H. Redfern of Oak Harbor; sisters Holly M. Redfern of Rocky Ridge, OH and Judy A. Redfern of Oak Harbor; Paternal grandmother Mary Lynda Redfern of Port Clinton, OH; aunts: Luann, Lisa, and Sarah; uncles: Don, Robert, Rick, Tom, Matt, Chris, and Jonathan; niece Tracey and nephew Raymond. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Richard Redfern, maternal grandparents Bobby & Barbara (Tassche) Goode, and sister Tracey A. Redfern. Visitation will be Monday from 2-8pm with the family present from 2-4 &6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor. Graveside services will begin at 2pm Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Roose Cemetery with interment to follow.
