Barbara J. "Barb" Lochotzki, 69, of Port Clinton, Ohio died unexpectedly on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio. She was born on January 15, 1944 in Port Clinton, the daughter of the late Wilber and Delores (Humphrey) Rider. On September 26, 1964 she married Bernard L. Lochotzki and he survives. Barb worked for a short time at Brown's Dairy Plaza and Brown's Book Store, both in Port Clinton. She then helped her husband in his auction business, "Bernard L. Lochotzki Auction Service", where she was the secretary for 27 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton; member of the Bay Twp. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary; and a 4H advisor for over 15 years. Her hobbies included reading, playing cards, doing word search puzzles, and listening to Elvis. Survivors include her husband: Bernie; daughter: Brenda Lee Lochotzki, Port Clinton; sons: Bruce John (Anna) Lochotzki, Economy, Indiana and Billy Joe Lochotzki, New London, Ohio; grandchildren: Austin John Lochotzki, Jacob Lochotzki, Christopher Lochotzki, Abby Lochotzki, Myra Jean Lochotzki, Vincent "Squeak" Lochotzki; brother: Gaylon Rider; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: William, Darald, and Roger Rider. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. On Friday, January 25, 2013, prayers will begin at the funeral home at 10am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with Father John C. Missler officiating. Cremation will then take place. Memorial contributions may be made to her family or to the Bay Twp. Fire Department.
