Barbara Flury Hoge

Barbara Flury Hoge, 65, of Olathe, KS, died Friday, May 11, 2007 in Olathe. She was born in Oak Harbor, OH September 11, 1941, a daughter of former Oak Harbor mayor, Joseph and Helen Flury. Barbara was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in elementary education. She taught school in Newport News, VA for a number of years. On December 28, 1963, she married William Hoge, and they made their home in the Olathe area in 1975. Barbara enjoyed coaching soccer, gardening, sewing, painting, and being involved in her family's activites. She is survived by her husband, William Hoge, her daughter, Elizabeth (Kevin) Lane, Spring Hill, KS; granddaughters, Emily and Elise; sister, Irene Flury, and her brothers, Paul Flury and Robert Flury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Olathe, KS, with interment following in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
