Barbara Esther Ann Gerogosian, age 84 of Port Clinton, OH, died on April 23, 2018 She was born in Erie Township on December 30, 1933, the 5th and youngest child of H. Clifford & Dorothea (Lewis) Snider. She was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, the Davis Business College and formally worked at the Erie Army Depot. Mrs. Gerogosian married Robert Joseph Gerogosian Jr. on June 4, 1955 at Immaculate Conception Church by Rev. Father Karl Brand. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Robert, son Daniel B. Gerogosian, parents, brother Wilber (Bill) Snider and sisters Mildred Cotner and Hazel Jeremy. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, Child Guidance Council and secretary of Riverview Parents Club for many years. She was honored as Mother of the Year in 1982 in Columbus, OH by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation & Development Disabilities. She will be remembered for her love, devotion and dedication to her family. She loved family gatherings, animals, playing cards and going to the Port Clinton Senior Center with her friends. She was a gentle person. Surviving are her sons Gregg P. (Connie) of Fremont, Nick (Maureen) of Strongsville, Aaron R. of Port Clinton and daughter-in-law Sandy Gerogosian of Vandalia. Also six grandchildren, Gregg Ryan (Jessica) of Toledo, Carly & Noah of Vandalia, Kayla, Breanna & Marissa of Strongsville along with two great grandchildren, Cody & Erin Rose of Toledo and one sister, Mary Werner of Bowling Green. Other survivors are brother-in-law Joseph Gerogosian of Virginia along with several nieces and nephews including Clair & Edward Jeremy of Port Clinton, Francine Chapman of Vickery, Jennifer Bateson of New London and Jon Werner of Bowling Green, Henry Snider of Niceville, FL, James Snider of Hilliard and Charlie Snider of California, David Gerogosian and Anthony Gerogosian in North Carolina, and Becky Gerogosian in Virginia. Visitation will be held at Neidecker, LeVeck Funeral Home in Port Clinton on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM. A rosary will be said at 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 28,2018 at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton with burial at Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, Ottawa County Humane Society or donors choice.
