Barbara A. Short, 83 of Elmore, OH and formerly of Toledo, OH died Friday, August 22, 2014 at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. She was born March 6, 1931 in Toledo, OH to the late Robert I. and Anna (Etue) Hearn. She was a graduate of Scott High School. Barbara retired from the State Liquor Store located on the East Side of Toledo. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, OH. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Robert (Judy) Powell of Uniontown, OH, Kathy (James) Baker of Northwood, OH, Claudia (Thomas) Wojciechowski of Graytown, OH, Mark (Cindy) Powell of Columbus, OH, David Powell of Toledo, OH, and Lyle "Pete" (Sarah) Short of Port Clinton, OH; grandchildren: Scott Powell, Megan Donahue, Nicholas Powell, Melinda Powell, Jaclyn Wojciechowski, Michael Wojciechowski, Mason Short, Zachary Powell, Britnee Powell and Timothy Powell; and 7 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Richard D. Powell, sister Doris Goetz, and grandson David Powell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday, August 29, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, OH with the Rev. Timothy Ferris celebrant. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10-11am. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or Riverview Health Care Campus.
