Audrey J. Liske

Audrey J. Liske, 86, of Oak Harbor died Monday morning, July 30, 2007 at Riverview Senior Health Care Campus. She was born April 15, 1921 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Howard and Barbara (DeVille) Smith. She was a 1938 graduate of Port Clinton High School. She was then employed at the former Maytag Store in downtown Port Clinton. On July 29, 1942 she married Earl J. Liske in Tiffin, OH, who preceded her in death February 1, 2001. In the 1950’s, for about 6 years, she was a local Avon representative. Audrey was well known as the secretary for St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor retiring after 26 years. Audrey was an active member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, serving in the Senior Choir, Afternoon Guild and taught Vacation Bible School for a number of years. She enjoyed growing and working with flowers and arranging them. She put those talents to use for Lorentz Floral Shop in Oak Harbor, arranging funeral and marital bouquets. Survivors include sons Robert E. Liske of Port Clinton and John C. Liske of Oak Harbor, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother Charles Smith. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home in Oak Harbor with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral Services will begin at 11am on Friday, August 3, 2007 at St. Paul United Church of Christ with the Rev. David A. Voll officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
