Audrey J. Karshuk

January 16, 1928 — January 3, 2021

Audrey Jean (Lange) Karshuk, 92, of Port Clinton, entered the gold gates of Heaven to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was born on Kelleys Island on January 16, 1928 to Millard E. & Florence A. (Lutz) Lange, and moved to Port Clinton at age 8. She graduated in 1946 from Oak Harbor High School as a track star. She also played the violin and cello. On June 27, 1948, she married the one and only love of her life, William G. Karshuk. She worked for the Camp Perry PX, Rainbow Inn, Standard Products, Port Clinton High School cafeteria, and was a housekeeper for the late John S. & Helen Harris, and the Stouffer families of Catawba Island. Audrey was an active member of the Port Clinton Women’s Bowling Association for 30+ years; she bowled on the Tuesday night ladies league at Harbor Lanes. She was also an active member of the Erie Township Mother’s Club, and would occasionally volunteer at Faith United Methodist Church missions group. Her friends and family meant the world to her and she would give a person her last dollar. People that knew her dropped off troubled plants because she had an amazing green thumb. It was an extra added bonus if she just finished a Texas chocolate sheet cake or sugar cookies. Audrey was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and attended Truth Ministries occasionally with her family. When she wasn’t praising God in church, she was either listening to gospel music or watching Christian television. She was a die-hard Cavaliers fan too! Audrey is survived by her children, Norma J., David (Stacey), and Daniel; grandchildren, Jessica (Robert) Dotson, Douglas, Alexander, Jasmine, Kathy, Heather (Kevin) Kaltenbach; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gordon Domeck; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Lublow; flower girl and special niece, Connie (Roy) Rounds. Preceding her in death are her parents; her beloved husband of 51 years; grandson, Gregory Karshuk; sister and best friend, Betty Domeck; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Emily (Joe) Kuzma, John (Lois) Karshuk, Steve Karshuk, Andy (Pauline) Karshuk, Jack Lublow, and Betty Ann (Ed) Breyman. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton, where services will held at 11:00 AM.
