Arthur Henry Blausey Jr.

Arthur H. Blausey Jr., 62 of Oak Harbor, OH died Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. He was born May 2, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to the late Arthur H. and Jeanne (Swathwood) Blausey Sr. He was a 1977 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and Penta County Vocational School. On October 23, 1992 he married the former Jody Porath and she survives. Art worked for the Village of Oak Harbor from 1978 until his retirement in 2008, he then worked for the Ottawa County Senior Resources from 2017 – present. He took great pride in being a 20 year Commander of the Sons of the American Legion, Oak Harbor Chapter. His hobbies included watching Ohio State, Notre Dame, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians. He enjoyed playing baseball, softball, Wednesday night Bowling League (over 30 years), Thursday night Golf League, and playing Euchre. Survivors include his wife of 29 years Jody of Oak Harbor; children: Chad Blausey of Graytown, OH, Cheryl (Jeff) Helmke of Elmore, OH, Brittany (Travis Calkins) Blausey of Ashland, OH, Bryan (Nicole) Blausey of Canonsburg, PA, and Erika (DC Culver) Blausey of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Izzy & Paige Helmke, Oliver & Miles Calkins, Colton and McKinley Blausey; brother James Blausey Sr.; sister Terri (Jan Rusincovitch) Blausey; first wife Deb Delgado; several nieces and nephews; and beloved cat Wobble. Graveside Services will begin at 12:30pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor with Pastor Margaret Mills officiating. Those in attendance are asked to wear their favorite Ohio State, Notre Dame, Cleveland Indians or Browns apparel. Following the Service at the Cemetery, friends and family are invited to the Salem Township Hall for a light reception and time for sharing.
