Arnold L. Seigneur

Arnold L. Seigneur, 85, died at Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH on Thursday, October 05, 2006. A long time resident of Fulton County, Ohio, Mr. Seigneur was born in Chesterfield Township, Ohio on January 14, 1921 and lived and farmed in Pike Township for over 50 years. In 1983, he retired from the Jeep Corporation with 30 years of service. During his life he was active in such organizations as Farm Bureau, Boy Scouts and Coast Guard Auxiliary. As a member of the United States Coast Guard during World War II, he served aboard the destroyer escort, USS Petersen making many voyages to French and British Ports before being honorably discharged in 1945. An avid boater, he spent much of his free time on the water teaching his family and friends to water ski and enjoy boating. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Gary Kohli of Oak Harbor, OH and their family, granddaughter Heather and Tom Champagne of Birmingham, AL and great-granddaughter Alexandria; granddaughter Megan Kohli of Grand Canyon, AZ. daughter and son-in-law, Anita Seigneur and Roger Ashenfelter of Lakewood Village, TX and their family, grandson Brett Ashenfelter of Atlanta, GA and granddaughter Kaylin Ashenfelter of Lakewood Village, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Al and Kim Seigneur and their family, Ashlee, Austin, and Jason, all of Wadsworth, OH. His sister and brother-in-law, Chrystal and Roy Craig of Dola, OH; brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Eileen Seigneur of Wauseon, OH; sister-in-law Betty (Calvin) Seigneur of Wauseon; and sister-in-law Donna (Leslie) Seigneur of Rogers, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Arlene Alice (Miley) Seigneur in 1989, and his second wife of 12 years, Frances (D’Agostino) Seigneur in 2002. His father Clarence in 1976 and mother Bertha (Whitcomb) Seigneur in 1974, sister, Mary Christine Seigneur in 1936, and brothers Calvin in 1997 and Leslie Seigneur in 1998. Friends and family are invited to share memories of Arnold and Arlene at his home in Wauseon, OH(7856 State Highway 108 Lot 11) on Sunday, October 8, 2006 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M.. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any local Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association. The Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, is handling arrangements for the family.
