Arlene M. Mccurdy

Arlene M. McCurdy, 77 of Oak Harbor lost her hard fought battle Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH. She was born March 25, 1934 in Toledo, OH to the late Harry W. and Isabel (Riegelsperger) Young. She was a 1952 graduate of Salem- Oak Harbor High School. On April 18, 1963 she married Harold L. McCurdy who preceded her in death December 6, 1985. Arlene worked as a cashier for Deans in Port Clinton, OH retiring in 2004. She enjoyed playing the lottery and bingo. Survivors include her daughter Kim (Jim) Rounds of Oak Harbor, grandchildren: Leigh Ann (Daniel) Martinez, Jennifer Swift, Ryan Krieger; great-grandchildren: Raven and Dominic Martinez; brother Thomas Young of Perrysburg, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers: Harry, Ray, and Dennis Young. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 20, 2011 beginning at 11am at the Funeral Home with the Rev. David J. Tinker officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
