Anna Mazurik

Anna Mazurik, 99, of Marblehead, died Wednesday May 21, 2008 at Otterbein Northshore in Lakeside. She was born March 23, 1909 in Cernin, Czech Republic, the daughter of Michael and Helen Gresko. She married Michael Mazurik in May 24, 1930, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Mazurik was retired from the US Gypsum Company after many years. She was a member of the Holy Assumption Orthodox Church in Marblehead and a member of the churches "R" Club and its choir. Surviving are her sons, John (Judy) Mazurik of Tyler, Texas and Paul (LaVerne) Mazurik of Perry, Ohio; grandchildren, Daniel Mazurik, Mark (Amy) Mazurik, Rebecca (Vincent) Mazurik-Charles and Gregory Mazurik; great-grandchildren, Sean and Jaymes Mazurik, Skye and Hunter Craven, & Madeline and Meridith Mazurik; and a brother John (Renee) Gresko of Lakewood. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Helen Elchisco and Margaret Reavley. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Friday at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead, with Panikhida services at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Saturday at Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Marblehead with Fr. David A. Lis officiating, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will follow in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Assumption Church or Stein Hospice. A special "Thanks" to all those who participated in Anna's care during the past few years.
