Anna Jane Tilton

Anna J. Tilton, 96, of Fremont, Ohio, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, Ohio. She was born on September 21, 1912 in Toledo, Ohio. Anna and her husband, Morton Tilton, operated the former Tilton's Harbor on the Sandusky River near Fremont for many years. She was a member of Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, Fremont, and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Anna is survived by her sons, Donald Tilton, Fremont, and Robert Tilton; granddaughter, Tiffany Wood; and great-grandchildren, Caleb, Cayden, and Aubrey Wood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morton Tilton; daughters, Barbara and Faye; brother, Don Bennett, and sisters, Doris and Marge. Family and friends are invited to call after 10:00 A.M. Monday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Denise Y. Turpin will officiate, and interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
