Ann M. Oginski, 73, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and formerly of Curtis, Michigan, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. She was born in Marquette, Michigan on August 12, 1938, the daughter of George & Jean (Airde) Maltby. Ann was a resident of Michigan's Upper Peninsula for most of her life and was a clerk at the Curtis Post Office for many years. A member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Curtis, Ann was active in the Ladies Aid of the church. On October 24, 1959, Ann married James L. Oginski, and after 48 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on April 10, 2008. Ann is survived by her son, Jim (Connie) Oginski, Newberry, MI; daughters, Teri Broughton, Belleville, MI, Connie (Dallas) VonGlahn, Oak Harbor, Ohio, and Vicky (Duane) Hyuck, St. Ignace, MI. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, November 6, 2010 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Curtis, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
