Ann Brita Johnson

Ann Brita Johnson, 86, of Catawba Island died Monday, January 8, 2018 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born January 28, 1931 in Worcester, MA the daughter of Edward and Maybell (Smith) Fadgen. She married William C. Johnson on June 8, 1953 and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2001. Mrs. Johnson was the Executive Secretary for Shan-Rod Inc. in Berlin Heights, OH and worked for the Ottawa County MRDD at various group homes after she retired. She was an avid reader, bridge player, golfer, swimmer, bicyclist, and lover of nature. She entertained everyone with her quick wit, and lived her life to the fullest. Our family wants to thank Stephanie Hatzidakis of Edgewood Manor to know how much our Mom appreciated her compassionate care and friendship these last two years. Surviving are her daughters: Tracy (Lionel Urquhart) Burke of Akron, Kathleen (Bryan Murr) Johnson Hickman of Catawba Island; grandchildren: Michael P. (Heather) Johnson, Katelynn M. (Eric) Hickman Budge, Joseph W. Burke, Nicholas R. Burke, Abigail E. Burke, Nathaniel G. (Gwen Keihl) Burke; great-grandchildren: Dalton Laird, William Johnson, Nolan Laird and Gwendolyn Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and son, Michael P. Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 until the service. Interment will follow in Catawba Island Cemetery. Father John C. Missler will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to American Liver Foundation.
