Andrew J. Scislowski, 82, of Marblehead, Ohio died Friday, February 23, 2024, following a short illness. He was born July 13, 1941, in Lorain and a life-long resident of Lorain and Ottawa Counties. Scislowski was a co-founder and co-owner of Progressive Processing Inc., retiring as its Senior Vice President/Operations Director. He also worked at the Smith-Jones Corporation (Tappan and American Standard) as their Plant Engineer, and the Fruehauf Trailer Company as a Manufacturing Engineer. He attended the University of Dayton, and he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a 1958 graduate of St. Mary’s in Lorain, Ohio. He enjoyed reading, writing, the outdoors, and his family. Survivors include his wife Kornel Ann (nee Chaszar); sons Randy Scislowski and Robert (Kylie) Scislowski, both of Lorain; Richard Scislowski (Margarita Sanchez) of Frisco, Texas; daughter Sheryl Scislowski of Sheffield Lake; sister Barbara (Jack) Linnane of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania; sister Rose (Greg) Dyczkowski of Avon Lake; six grandchildren: Michael (Amanda) Kepler of San Francisco, California; Sam (Katie) Scislowski, Caitlyn, Xander, Kristopher, and Allison Scislowski, and one great granddaughter Lily Scislowski. He also leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Helen (nee Machnik) Scislowski; a daughter, Debra Scislowski; and an infant grandson, Andrew James Scislowski. As per Andrew’s request no funeral or memorial service is to be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 4900 Navarre Ave. Oregon, OH 43616.
