Andres G. "Andy" Palacios

Andres G. “Andy” Palacios, 71 of Toledo, OH died Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born January 2, 1953, in McAllen, TX to Miguel and Bertha (Gomez) Palacios. Andy was a 1971 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and served 4 years of Active Service in the United States Air Force and 16 years in the Ohio Air National Guard 200th Red Horse Unit at Camp Perry. He retired in 2014 as an Electrician for the Toledo Correctional Institute.

Andy attended St. Boniface Catholic Church and School as a child. He was a member of Robinson Locke Masonic Lodge #659 F.&A.M. where he was also a member of Scottish RIte Bodies of Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, and a member of VFW Post in Petersburg, MI. He also enjoyed singing Karaoke, playing scratch-off Lottery tickets, sudoku, playing golf and collecting….everything!

Survivors include his sons: Joshua (Renee) Palacios of Blissfield, MI, and Jason Palacios of Edmond, OK; father Miguel (Gloria Castillo) Palacios of Port Clinton, OH; sisters Sandra Gonzalez of Pharr, TX, and Belia (Eddie) De Leon of Port Clinton, OH; brother Mike Palacios Jr. of Port Clinton, OH; grandsons: Austin and Devin. Nieces and nephew, great niece, and great

nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Bertha, brother Raul Palacios, and brother-in- law Raymond Gonzalez.

Services will begin at 11am on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel where the family will receive friends beginning at 9am until the time of Service. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. The family extends a big thank you to Hospice of NW Ohio – Perrysburg for the compassionate day- to-day care they gave Andy and how they supported his family.
