Alyce June Child

Alyce J. Child, 79, of Port Clinton, passed away as she slept Wednesday morning, June 18, 2014, at her residence on Catawba Island. She was born April 23, 1935, in Auburn, Indiana, to Calvin C. and Gladys E. (Whitta) Hawkins. Mrs. Child was a graduate of DePauw University, Greencastle, IN. She is survived by her sons: Daniel (April) and Michael (Janet) Child; grandchildren: Ashley, Ethan, Jacob, and Owen Child; nephew: Thomas Hawkins and niece: Ellen Kruckeberg. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Calvin "Ed" Hawkins. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, OH where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
