Alverna Radsick

Alverna Radsick, 89, formerly of Graytown died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH. She was born August 29, 1922 in Oak Harbor, OH the daughter of the late Fred and Christine (Perry) Blausey. She married Ralph Radsick on November 21, 1939 and he preceded her in death on October 22, 2009. Mrs. Radsick was a homemaker until her kids went to school and then she was a seamstress for Haas-Jordan, Toledo, Ohio making umbrellas. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Blackberry where she was a member of the Esther Circle. She and her husband ran Radsick Orchards for many years and she helped her husband work in the fields. Surviving are her sons: Donald (Janet) Radsick of Elmore, Terry (Sharon) Radsick of Fremont, David (Gloria) Radsick of Oak Harbor, Roger (Sue) Radsick of Oak Harbor; daughter: Marsha Klein of Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Gerald (Marguerite) Blausey of Toledo; sisters: Betty (Gerald) Rife of Oregon; Athalee Starkey of Graytown, Geraldine (Willard) Hetrick of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Ronald Radsick, great-granddaughter: Chelsey Elmes, great-great-grandson: Camren Radsick, sister: Marcella Buhrow, brother-in-laws: Leonard "Bud" Buhrow and Ordell "Bud" Starkey. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30am Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Blackberry with visitation from 10:00am until the time of the service. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 8:00 pm at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, OH. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to ST.
