Allen Duane Mechling

Allen Duane Mechling, 74 of Oak Harbor, OH and formerly of Elkhart, IN, died Wednesday, February 07, 2018 at his home. He was born May 2, 1943 in Elkhart to the late Duane and Gladys (Hiatt) Mechling. He was a graduate of Elkhart Central High School. He married Sharon (Kelly) who preceded him in death in 1998. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from AM General as a Quality Enfineer. Survivors include his daughter Catherine (Terry) Imus of Elkhart, IN; granddaughter Breonna; and sister Jane Rieth of Bristol, IN. Allen will be entombed in Hope Mausoleum, Rice Cemetery, Elkhart, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
