Alfreda Louise Held

Alfreda Louise Held, 86 of Oak Harbor, OH died Monday, August 03, 2020 at her home under Hospice Care. She was born May 31, 1934 in Cleveland, OH to the late Carl and Ruth (Nelson) Lindahl. She was a 1952 graduate of Sandusky High School. On August 25, 1956 she married Howard “Russ” Held who preceded her in death on November 28, 2003. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, but worked for the Ottawa County Exponent as a typesetter and Erie Ordinance Depot as a Secretary. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, recreational vehicle club Holiday Rambler- Toledo 39ers, and Vasa Order of America Lodge #130 in Cleveland Heights, OH which celebrated her Swedish Heritage. Survivors include her children: Susan (James) Whiteman and Tim (Kim) Held both of Oak Harbor; grandson John (Tiffany) Wright; great- grandchildren Sophia Pflieger and Adam & Vesta Wright; and brother Carl Lindahl of Sandusky, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and step-son William “Bill” McClanahan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8pm at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor Chapel. Due to the Covid19 Pandemic, Private Funeral Services will begin at 11am Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Services will be available to watch on Crosser Funeral Home YouTube Page. Burial will follow in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Those wishing to contribute are asked to consider Ohio Living Hospice.
