Alfred Homler

Alfred "Al, Junior" Homler, 79, of Port Clinton, Ohio born to Geneva P. (Stewart) and Alfred L. Homler on May 8, 1933 passed away July 14, 2012 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio after a brief illness with his loving family by his side. Alfred retired from Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, OH after 30 years of employment. Alfred enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved "going to the farm" and livestock auctions with his special nephew, Dave Hineline of Castalia,, Ohio. He loved spending time with his dog and companion walking buddy, Max. Alfred will be greatly missed by his daughter Debbie (John) Wozniak, brothers, Quillen Homler, Ernest Homler both of Fremont, OH., Kenneth Homler of Gibsonburg, OH., Clayaton Homler, Sr. of Green Castle, IN., sisters, Shirley Weichman of Oak Harbor, OH., Blanche Hineline of Clyde, OH., Judy Cress of Fremont, OH., seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Darlene Homler, parents, brothers, Norman, Francis, and Gilbert Homler, sisters, Joyce Fisher and Phyllis Toth. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, July 18, 2012 with Rev. James Lehman officiating at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton where visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH.
