Alfred E. Hebner, 64, of Port Clinton, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Ohio Veterans Homes. He was born Nov. 29, 1947 in Rocky Ridge, Ohio the son of the late Emery and Minnie (Wohlfiel) Hebner. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Mr. Hebner worked for United States Gypsum as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed Nascar racing and raising his cats. He especially loved the community of Port Clinton and the time he spent at the Port Clinton Pier. Surviving are his daughter: Shelly (Ross) Kette of Sandusky; grandchildren: Rochelle and Paige Kette; sisters: Virginia (Paul) MacDonald of Bethlehem, PA, Rose (Jerry) Petersen of Baldwin, MD; two nieces and one nephew. Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton. Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Elliston Cemetery, Elliston, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's Choice.
