Alexis Lee Kohlman

Alexis Lee Kohlman, 35, of Port Clinton, OH died Jan. 10, 2017. Alexis struggled with MS for fifteen years and battled Heroin and other drug addictions for many years before her death. She was born Sept. 10, 1981 in Sandusky, OH the daughter of Samuel Lee and Barbara Jo (Ebel) Nelson. Alexis was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. She enjoyed writing poetry, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She was a restaurant manager where she enjoyed interacting with her customers. Surviving are her mother: Bobbie Jo (Daniel) Lowe of Port Clinton; father: Samuel L. Nelson of Port Clinton; daughter: Leigha Kohlman of Port Clinton; significant other: Tim Beverly of Port Clinton; sister: Samantha (Bobby Chilton) Nelson of Port Clinton, Dominique (Nate Berryman) Araguz of Port Clinton, Alyssa (Jay Grieder) Araguz of Port Clinton; brothers: Cole Araguz of Port Clinton, Andrew (Ashley) Nagy of Mississippi; step-brother: Jed (Crystal) Wetzel of Wyoming; step-sisters: Elizabeth Moore of Mississippi, Amanda Lowe of Fremont, Katie (Jordan McCloud) Lowe of Toledo, Kim Beehler of Graytown; grandparents: Darleen and William Van Der Giessen of Catawba Island, Mildred Nelson of Findlay, OH, Eldon Ebel of Belize. She was preceded in death by her son: Devin Kohlman; grandfather: Donald Nelson and step-mother Debbie Nelson. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Monday, January 16, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 404 Madison St. Port Clinton with Father John Missler officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 6:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Burial will be in Catawba Island Cemetery.
