Sonny Short

Sonny Short, 71, of Sandusky, Ohio, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 11, 1941, a son of Alvin & Bertha (Schmidt) Short. Sonny attended Oregon, Ohio schools and was a long time employee of Ford Motor Company, where he was a machine operator. He married the former Judith A. Paulsen on December 15, 1962, and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2012. Sonny is survived by his daughters, Sheila McClain of Sandusky, and Peggy (Craig) McGory of Huron, Ohio; grandson, Sonny Blankenship, Sandusky; brothers, Ronald (Joan) Short, Terry (Helen) Short, Forrest (Jeanine) Short, all of Oregon, Ohio; and sisters, Carolyn (Donald) Garabrandt, and Mary Short, both of Oregon. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Timothy Short, and a sister, Roxanne Short. Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, Ohio, where funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday. Pastor Kyle Timmons will officiate, and interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery.
