Shirley Jeanne Finn

Shirley Jeanne Finn, 82 of Oak Harbor died Friday, December 11, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born July 6, 1927 in Monroe, MI to the late Perry and Norma (Bashaw) Burghardt. On June 28, 1947 she married William Finn who preceded her in death on March 3, 2005. Shirley was a homemaker and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor. She was a very creative person who loved crafts of all sorts. Shirley also loved her faithful companion, "Clancy". Survivors include her children: Timothy Michael (Ann) Finn of Newport, MI, James Patrick (Connie) Finn of Gastonia, NC, and Sandra (Bill) Brockmeyer of Elmore, OH; sisters: Donna Durham and Lola Grieger; grandchildren: Megan (Tom) Lazor, Carrie (Marty) Laroche, Stacy (Andy) Niedermeier, and Kristy Finn; great- grandchildren: Emma and Lindsey Lazor, Zackary and Jessica Thompson, Devin Finn. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Henry and Donald and sisters: Ruth, Betty, and Jane. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8pm at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Oak Harbor with the Rev. David L. Ritchie officiating. Interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to thank the members of the Mid- County E.M.S., Dr. Ravi Narra, Dr. Karl Fernandes, and the nurses at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their kind and excellent care of their mother.
