Paul J. Graber

Paul J. Graber, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at his home. He was born in Wayne, Ohio on May 11, 1939, a son of Paul A. & Elma A. (Babcock) Graber. Paul was a graduate of Montgomery Local Schools in Wood County. He was a retired employee of Brush Wellman, Elmore, where he had worked for 44 years. Active in Masonic circles, Paul was a Past Master and former treasurer of Oak Harbor Lodge #495 F. & A.M. and was a Past Worthy Patron of the former Oak Harbor Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. A member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor, Paul served on the church council and was custodian for many years. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, enjoyed tending his apple trees, golfing, fishing, and his dog, Tipper. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and following his grandchildrens activities. After retirement, he enjoyed mowing greens at the Oak Harbor Golf Club. On June 20, 1959, he married the former Marilyn Martin, and she survives. Also surviving is his son, David (Debbie) Graber; daughters, Kelly (Scott) Sprouse, and Sherry (Jim) Priesman, all of Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Morgan (Adam) Siefke, Dana and Brooke Sprouse, Ryan and Josh Graber, Nick, Zack, Curtis, and Paige Priesman, and great-grandchildren, Addisynne, Wyatt, and Brynnlee Siefke; brother, Mark (Nancy) Graber; sisters, Jane (Russell) Nowlin, Mary (Denny) Dietrich, and Marge (Dave) Brown, and sister-in-law, Agnes Graber. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Max Graber, and his sister, Carol Isch. The family will receive friends from 2-8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, where Masonic services will be held at 7:30 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, with the Rev. David A. Voll officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ or Memorial Home Health & Hospice. The family would like to thank their family and friends for their most recent support as well as Dr. Chad Blunt, the Oncology Department at Magruder Hospital, and especially the nurses from Memorial Home Health & Hospice.
