Patrick A. Winke

Patrick A. Winke, 71, along with his fiancée Gena Spencer, 66 both of

Marblehead, OH passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at their home.

Pat was born August 31, 1952 in Port Clinton, OH the son of Albert A.

and Margaret T. (Darr) Winke. Pat was a union carpenter working at

Davis Besse and also SE Johnson. He was a charter boat captain and

a professional guide on Lake Erie since 1979 offering both sport and ice fishing.

His biggest enjoyment was seeing his customers get a big catch. He was an avid

fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He and Gena

rarely missed watching a game and they loved seeing The Ohio State

Marching Band perform at Put-in-Bay last summer. He loved their dog,

Gracie.

Surviving are his siblings: Mary (Dale Workman) Winke Ehlerding of

Jamestown, OH, Charles (Jan) Winke of Toledo, Michael (Terri) Winke of

Port Clinton; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his

parents Albert and Margaret Winke; brother-in-law: Dan Ehlerding and

nephew Shawn Ehlerding

A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held August 11, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Camp Perry Club House, 1000 N. Lawrence Rd. Building 600, Port Clinton, OH 43452. No alcohol allowed to be brought into the hall.
