Merritt "Stan" Huber II, 68, of Marblehead, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky, OH. He was born January 13, 1944 in Fremont, OH the son of the late Dr. Merritt and Helen (Gibbs) Huber I. He worked for Verizon Telecommunications as a Technician retiring in 2009. After retiring he enjoyed building and riding bicycles. In his youth he served in the Peace Corps in South America. He was a lifetime member of the Mayflower Society, Children of the American Revolution, NRA and he was an avid hunter, boater and racing enthusiast. Surviving are his daughter: Jennie (Brian) Buchanan of Marblehead; son: Merritt Huber III of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren: Brooke, Austin and Beau Buchanan. A Celebration of his life will take place 1:00 pm Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside--Marblehead, OH.
