Marilyn K. Graber, 82, of Oak Harbor passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
Marilyn was born on March 29, 1941 to Melvin J. & Hazel L. (Sager) Martin in Oak Harbor, Ohio. She was the baby of the family and had 4 siblings all preceding her in death: Gordon (Gloria) Martin, Patricia (Kenny) Swint, Geraldine (Bill) Yingling and Jeannine (Kenny) Wendt. She attended Salem-Oak Harbor Schools. On June 20, 1959, she married the love of her life, Paul J. Graber, and they went on to have three children: Kelly (Scott) Sprouse, David (Debbie) Graber, and Sherry (Jim) Priesman all who survive. Paul passed away on July 23, 2011.
Her greatest achievement was her family. She was blessed to have nine grandchildren who all knew her as Mema: Morgan (Adam) Siefke, Dana (Justin) Jokovich, Brooke (Zach) Moore, Ryan (Rylie) Graber, Josh (Emily) Graber, Nicholas (Dani) Priesman, Zachary (Lexi) Priesman, Curtis Priesman, and Paige (Matt) Priesman-Winke. She also had 14 great-grandchildren: Addisynne, Wyatt, Brynnlee, Colton, Everleigh, Jackson, Lillian, Oliver, Blake, Finley, Savannah, Baylor, Adelyn, & Kennedy and one on the way.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and was active in the former Oak Harbor Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed being a lay reader at church and going to Bible study. Marilyn was also known to be a great cook and baker. She was well known for her delicious noodles, sugar cookies, specialty chocolate cake and Texas sheet cake, which all will be greatly missed by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 165 Toussaint St., Oak Harbor, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Rev. Darryl Hamm will officiate, and interment will follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Following the services, a luncheon will be served in the Social Room of the Church.
