Lydia Jane Lammers

Lydia Jane Lammers, 95, of Danbury Township, Port Clinton, OH passed away peacefully of natural causes, Saturday, November 14, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from noon until funeral services at 1pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH, with Reverend Christina L. Young officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, 541 Church Road, Lakeside-Marblehead. Lydia was born in Justice, West Virgina on September 20, 1920 to Ted Frank Justice and Frances Ellis Justice. She graduated from Gilbert High School in 1939 then moved to Port Clinton, to work at Standard Products in Sandusky and the Island House in Port Clinton during WWII. She retired in 1982 after working 13 years as Deputy Clerk at the Ottawa County Clerk of Courts. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Danbury Township. She married Edgar D. Lammers, Sr. on January 31, 1949. They owned and operated Edgar's Night Club on Sand Road and Lammers Inn (Danbury) and were the parents of one son, Edgar "David" Lammers, Jr. (Ostrander, Ohio). Lydia was preceded in death by husband, Edgar, who passed on October 13, 1967 from complications related to diabetes; her parents, Ted and Frances Justice; 3 siblings: Kathleen Allen, Bennett Justice, and Larry Justice, and sister-in-law: Mary Louise Robinson. She is survived by brother Leroy Justice (wife Vivian) and sister Nell Scully of Palatka, Florida; son Edgar "Dave" Lammers, Jr. (Larenda); two granddaughters--Rebecca (Josh Miles) of London, England, Laura (Travis Scheele) of Boulder, Colorado and a niece and several nephews.
