Lucille G. Finken, 86, formerly of Oak Harbor, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at Otterbein North Shore Retirement Community in Lakeside- Marblehead, OH. She was born in Carroll Township, Ottawa County on January 4, 1921, a daughter of James A. and Min (Barnes) Rider. She was a 1938 Graduate of Oak Harbor High School. On December 27, 1944 she married Brayton Finken who preceded her in death March 1, 2001. Mrs. Finken and her husband owned and operated “Ritter Farm” in Carroll Twp. They owned and operated the Toussaint Tavern for many years. She then worked for her son Mark at the “Beach Carte” until she was unable to work. She loved to be in the public serving as Past Presiding Judge of the Carroll Township Precinct, Ottawa County Liquor Association, Charter Member of the Toussaint Founders Club, and Past President of the Mother of Twins. She also enjoyed playing Euchre and fishing. Lucille was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. Survivors include her sons: Barry (Virginia) Finken, Mark Finken, Scott Finken all of Oak Harbor; daughters Judy (John) Verb of Oak Harbor, Julie (Kenneth) McConahay of Port Clinton; 8 grandchildren, 5 Great-grandchildren, and 4 Step great-grandchildren, and 1 Step great- great-grandchild, Niece Darla (Charles) Guth of Port Clinton, and her extended family at Otterbein North Shore. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother James Rider, sisters: Opal Rider and Thelma Cover, grandson Kevin L. Finken, and nephew Kent Cover. The family will receive friends from 2-8pm Sunday and again at 10am Monday at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Monday June 25, 2007 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. James Lehman officiating. Burial will be in Rushau Cemetery, Carroll Township.
