Louis M. Montaño

Louis M. Montaño, 63 of Oak Harbor, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Bay Park Community Hospital with his family by his side. He was born June 18, 1958 in Port Clinton, OH to the late Santa Anna and Domatilla (Lopez) Montaño Sr. He was a 1976 graduate of Port Clinton High School. In 1976 he married the former Joi Lorene Hoenig and she survives. Lou was the President of Lako Tool & Manufacturing in Perrysburg, OH. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Ohio State Football games. He also enjoyed grilling out with family and friends. He was a mentor at work and in his personal life. Survivors include his wife Joi Montaño of Oak Harbor, son Justin (Jessica Cain) Montaño of Columbus, OH; daughter Janelle Montaño of Oak Harbor; sisters: Anita Ortiz, Helen (Armando) Lasoya, and Mary Montaño; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his son Joshua Montaño and brother Santa Anna Montaño Jr. Services will begin at 1pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 301 N. Locust St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449. Burial will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Firelands Counseling & Recovery thru the Ottawa County Giving Tree or any mental health services organization.
