Lorin Melvin Jeffries

Lorin Melvin Jeffries, 89, of Port Clinton and formerly of Littleton, CO passed away March 8, 2023 at Promedica Ebeid Hospice, Toledo, Ohio. He was born May 28, 1933 the son of Jewell and Hazel (Moore) Jeffries. He married Cleta Purtle on Jan. 16, 1958 and she survives. Lorin retired as a carpenter working out of Local 555 in Denver, CO. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was a member of Port Clinton Bible Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife: Cleta; children: Douglas B. (Teresa) Jeffries of Helena, MT, Cara (Ben) Barnett of San Antonio, TX, Kent D. (Krista) Jeffries of Oak Harbor; grandchildren: Connor-Shay Jeffries, Luke Barnett, Kirk Barnett, Ruben Barnett, Serena Barnett, Alex Barnett Crystal Barnett, Brayden (Mel) Jeffries, Andrew Jeffries, Hannah Jeffries; great-granddaughter: Briella Jeffries and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Betty Jo, Littie Bea, Donald, James, Kenneth, and Twin Orin.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH where funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, March 13, 2023. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to Port Clinton Bible Methodist Church, Building Project, 150 Maple St. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
