Ivan Beaver

Ivan W. Beaver, 75, of Port Clinton, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Autumnwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Rittman, OH. He was born April 30, 1936 in Marion, OH the son of Richard and Louise (Miller) Beaver. He married Beverly Druckenmiller on Nov. 28, 1957 and she survives. Mr. Beaver was a machinist for Port Clinton Manufacturing and a Marine Mechanic for Treasure Cove Marina. He was a graduate of Port Clinton High School and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a Port Clinton Lion's Club member for over 40 years. He was awarded the 2010 Lion of the Year. Lions and their mission were extremely important to him. He held almost every office and spent many years as the club secretary. He and Bev enjoyed traveling around the country to different Lions events and conventions over the years. Surviving are his wife: Bev; son: Kim Beaver of Port Clinton; daughter: Rev. Deborah (Charles) Quillen of Creston, OH; grandchildren: Devin and David Beaver; brothers: Major Richard (Martha) Beaver, Ret. Of Bellington, WA, Charles Beaver of Oak Harbor; sister: Evelyn (William) King of Wilcox, AZ and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister: Letha Waugh, infant sister: Edith Clarabell Beaver, and brother: Jerry Lee Beaver. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton with Rev. Bruce Batchelor-Glader officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 8:00 pm at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, OH. Lions Club memorial services will be held Monday at 8:00 pm in the funeral home.
