Gilbert J. Turner

Gilbert J. Turner, 96, of Port Clinton, OH passed away January 7, 2024 at his home. He was born May 5, 1927 in Vossberg, MS the son of Alex and Nona (Hughes) Turner, Sr. He married Mayme Amanda Clark and she preceded him in death on Feb. 28, 2007. Gilbert owned and operated The Spot for many years. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his chickens.

Surviving are his son: Willaim E. Turner of Port Clinton; daughter: Melanie Jane Turner of Toledo, OH; grandchildren: Christopher Elbert Blakely of Columbus, OH, Cassidy Marie Johnson of Fremont, Shelton Carl Price of North Carolina; sister: Marva Stone of Bowling Green, OH; special nephew: Larry Williams of Fremont, OH. He was preceded in death by his son: William Nelson Turner; siblings: Eddie Turner, Elbert Turner, Gloria Stuart, Eugene Turner and Alex Turner, Jr.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Forest Cemetery,1704 Mulberry St. Toledo, OH 43608.
