George A. Martin

George A. Martin, 78 of North Fort Myers, FL died Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the home of his daughter under Hospice care. He was born March 18, 1944 in Fremont, OH to George E. and Donna J. (Myers) Martin. George was a 1962 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. On April 13, 1963 he married Lillie L. Slusher, and she survives. George was a 2nd generation home builder where he owned and operated George Martin Home Builder and built homes in the Fremont and surrounding areas. He was past president of the Builders Association of Sandusky County. George was an avid hunter and fisherman in both Florida and Ohio.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Lillie of North Fort Myers, FL; children: Laura L. (Todd) Whipple of Oak Harbor, OH, Anne L. (Leslie) Martin of Cape Coral, FL, George D. Martin of Fremont, OH, and Brett A. Martin of Cape Coral, FL; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; mother Donna Martin; brothers William Martin and Tom (Irene) Martin; and sister Bethany (Loren) Kohl. He was preceded in death by his father George E. Martin.

Services will be handled privately by the family. Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements.
