F. Kraft Ritter, 85, of Port Clinton, passed away January 23, 2009 in his home. He was born November 21, 1923, in Louisville, KY, the son of Frank and Lula Mae (Kraft) Ritter. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps who served in the Pacific theater. He was a graduate of Xavier University and St. Louis University Medical School. A resident of Port Clinton since 1953, he served the community as a family doctor and anesthesiologist at Magruder Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sr. Francis Louise (Mary Martha) Ritter, SL, and Jo Ann "Jody" Gates. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Marie (Oligschlaeger) Ritter whom he married on September 6, 1952; children Mary Ritter, Martha Coda (Louis), Jane Kensok (Thomas), Anne Hambrick (Walter), Joseph Ritter (Kim), John Ritter (Deborah), Teresa Morrow (Scott), Paul Ritter (Sandra), Margaret Shaw (Daniel), and Barbara Ritter; sister, Helen Ritter of Louisville; and 18 grandchildren. His funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Tuesday January 27 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Neidecker-LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton.
