Donald R. Seibert

Donald R. Seibert, 96, of Oak Harbor, OH, and formerly of East Liverpool, OH, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his home. He was born in East Liverpool on November 21, 1917, the son of Harry & Blanche (Peddicord) Seibert. Donald was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, and retired in 1982 from Crucible Steel, Midland, PA, where he was a furnace operator. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, East Liverpool. An active member of Elks Lodge #258 in East Liverpool, Donald held every office over the years. On September 10, 1967, he married the former Ruth M. Hoppel, and she preceded him in death on June 22, 2009. Donald is survived by his children: Deborah (Dennis) Meek-Martin, Oak Harbor, Kenneth (Mary) Seibert, Illinois, Patsy (John) Benoit, Bristol, CT, and Tammy (Paul) Bouchard, Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Anne (Michael) Libben, Jonathon Weir, J.J. Corbett, Megan Bouchard, Andy Seibert, Christy Benoit, and John Benoit; and great-grandchildren, Evan, Kaitlyn, and Kaleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Seibert, and granddaughter, Samantha Seibert. The family will receive friends from 4-8 P.M. Friday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the chapel of Columbiana County Memorial Park, East Liverpool, where friends may call after 11:00 A.M. Saturday.
