Dolores M Gaydos

Dolores M. Gaydos, 86, of Marblehead Ohio, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on July 1, 1924 in Marblehead, the daughter of the late John and Mary Monak. She married Michael Gaydos on September 23, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1975. Dolores worked as a secretary for the Kelleys Island Limestone Company, and also as a receptionist for Dr. Witker until her retirement. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marblehead, where she was still active in the church choir for the past 75 years, a member of the Altar Rosary Society; and also an auxiliary member of the Marblehead VFW post #7572. She especially loved her family, and was an avid animal lover. Survivors include her nieces, nephews, close cousins, grand nieces and nephews, and her pet schnauzer "Bella". Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead, from 9:30am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead. Memorial contributions may be made to Marblehead Fire Department or Stein Hospice.
