Darlene G. Robel

Darlene G. Robel, 80, of Lakeside-Marblehead died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, in Akron City Hospital. She was born April 21, 1930, in Port Clinton, the daughter of the late Leonard and Evelyn (Oper) Lowien. She married Jim Robel, June 25, 1949, and he preceded her in death, March 24, 2008. Mrs. Robel was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Alter Rosary Society and the Marblehead VFW Auxiliary. Surviving are her daughter, Christine (James) Twarek of Aurora, Ohio; son, James (Theresa) Robel of Fairview Park; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday in Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead. The Rev. Daniel J. Ring will officiate, and interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer Association.
