Bruce A. Johnson

Bruce A. Johnson, 48, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Thursday, March 01, 2007 at his residence. He was born on November 13, 1958, in Port Clinton, the son of L.B. and Mary (Snyder) Johnson. On March 14, 1981, he married Becky Turner, and she survives. He worked as a mechanic all of his life, helping to fix other people’s cars, and was a member of the Steel Horse pit crew at the Norwalk Raceway, during the drag racing season. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. His hobbies included being a roadie for several of his buddies’ bands. He loved to fish, but his greatest enjoyment came from an evening of just sitting around a bonfire with his friends. Survivors include his wife, Becky; son, Steven (Heidi) Johnson, Port Clinton; daughter, Brandy Johnson, Port Clinton; mother, Mary, Port Clinton; brothers, John (Dolores) Johnson, Clymer, New York and Burton (Lori) Johnson, Port Clinton; and sister: Barbara (Harmon “Skip”) Neatfeld, Oak Harbor. He was preceded in death by his father, and an infant brother Stephen. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 4, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 5, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend John C. Missler officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
